Genetic diversity of pea (Pisum sativum L.) genotypes differing in leaf type using SNP markers

چکیده
Abstract A collection of 46 pea ( Pisum sativum L.) accessions, mostly from Europe, were analysed for genetic diversity using the GenoPea 13.2 K SNP Array chip. Of these accessions 24 nomal-leaved and 22 semi-leafless. Principal components analysis (PCA) separated peas into two groups characterized by different leaf types, although some genotypes exceptions appeared in opposite group. Cluster confirmed groups. dendrogram showed larger distances between normal-leafed group compared to semi-leafless genotypes. Both PCA cluster show that leave types are genetically divergent. So normal-leaved an interesting resource, even if breeding goal is develop varieties.

Genetic control of floral zygomorphy in pea (Pisum sativum L.).
Floral zygomorphy (flowers with bilateral symmetry) has multiple origins and typically manifests two kinds of asymmetries, dorsoventral (DV) and organ internal (IN) asymmetries in floral and organ planes, respectively, revealing the underlying key regulators in plant genomes that generate and superimpose various mechanisms to build up complexity and different floral forms during plant developme...
متن کاملGENETIC DIVERSITY IN ADVANCED GENERATION OF VEGETABLE PEA (Pisum sativum L.)
Twenty five advanced lines among them twelve lines obtained from the cross between Edible Podded Pea and IPSA Motorsuty-1, nine obtained from the cross between Local White and IPSA Motorsuty-3 and five parental lines were included to measure genetic diversity. The field experiment was conducted at the research farm, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University, Gazipur, Bangladesh....
متن کاملPea (Pisum sativum L.) Growth Mutants
This review is devoted to the Pisum sativum L. growth mutants. These mutants are presented by several groups of plants. The first group is characterized by short internodes (dwarf mutants le, na, lk, la, lh, ls) or by elongated internodes (slender mutant sln). The stem growth of mutants of both types (dwarf and slender) is controlled by hormones (GA and IAA) in the stem or in seeds. Mutants cha...
متن کاملRole of nitrogen content of pea (Pisum sativum L.) on pea aphid (Acyrthosiphon pisum Harris) establishment
The leaf nitrogen content is generally accepted as an indicator of food quality and as a factor affecting host selection by phytophagous insects. The alate pea aphids (Acyrthosiphon pisum Harris, Aphididae) were given a choice among non-nodulated pea plants (Pisum sativum L.) supplied with one of four nitrate-N levels (0, 3, 15 and 30 mM). When whole plants were exposed to aphids for 7 days, th...
متن کاملGenetic characterization of pea (Pisum sativum) germplasm from Turkey using morphological and SSR markers.
The need for the conservation of plant genetic resources has been widely accepted. Germplasm characterization and evaluation yield information for more efficient utilization of these valuable resources. The aim of the present study was to characterize the pea germplasm conserved at the Aegean Agricultural Research Institute of Turkey using morphological and simple sequence repeat (SSR)-based mo...
